Massage is a treatment that aims to relax, revive and heal the body, using predominately ‘hands-on’ techniques and movements to manipulate the soft tissues of the body.
Do massages help with pain?
Yes, they can, depending on the location and cause of the pain. We would advise what we can offer when you call to make your appointment, and again during your consultation prior to your treatment.
Can you have a massage if you are having treatment for cancer?
This is a difficult question to answer, as every person is different and we would again, discuss this with you over the telephone in the first instance. Generally speaking, we would need a letter from your Doctor or Oncologist to be able to ensure that we able to offer any treatments.
Is massage safe during pregnancy?
We would be able to offer massage after the 12-week stage, however not with certain aromatherapy oils, so if you are pregnant, please let us know when you make your appointment.
